Thanks but I can't see anything, even the main menu, because that res is invalid for my tv. I tried changing the profile settings too but for some reason couldn't edit the text. Will try again. Make sure the file isn't write protected with right click, in Properties and that you're not running the game while you're trying to edit it.

I just installed AOE 3 on my Windows 7 x64 Ultimate box, which has an i5 processor and a radeon I have installed the latest AOE 3 patch 1. My video driver, claims windows, is up to date. The game seems to run fine, but the display is off-center far to the left.

I can only barely see the right edge of the menu buttons. I can't even read what the buttons say. But I can click the buttons and the game responds. Check the resolution settings of the game in the options and see if it is set to the same resolution as your monitor. If not, then set it and hopefully that will work. You removed black bars, your image is scaled to fill all screen and this is everything what you can do. If my graphic card support let say x can I run AoE with that resolution? I can choose only these resolution which are supported by a game.
