Thanks for the information. I do not use messenger. Its propemsity to start when I reboot and pop up menus unexpectedly was driving me crazy! I installed REVO Uninstaller and it uninstalled both and cleaned the registry and hard drive of all leftovers. What could not be removed during initial scan I was told will be removed during next reboot. As Of now I am very impressed. A very good program that seems to do what it says with a minimum of fuss.

I know this is the long way around to do this but, after searching google when i could not find the uninstaller, this is the only other way i could find to do it.

I tried the Revo free version and it worked! After installing Revo uninstaller, I had to go to Options and select Uninstaller and check the box to show System Components. Then Windows Messenger was visible. The Uninstall process actually acted like it was installing it but then reached a point where I could select all the files 2 steps to do this and delete them.

Then it was gone! Thanks for the pointer. It asks permission then when I click on yes , nothing happens. Still nothing.

The computer may shut down somewhere on the install and cause a system startup problem. I hate windows they always put lots of crap in that you never wanted that slows down your pc. Messenger automatically fights to start up when i use hotmail even. I am a manual guy and dont like machines making decisions for me.
