Yes for some reason the customise tab is missing when accessing folders through 'Library' , would be good to modify something to show them.

Thanks Rex, your hints works, but in this way we have two changed folder, is any other method to customize folders only in libraries??? Libraries is just linked files from user folder, and in some way they are just virtual, nut i hope that someone can solve customization only in library!!!

But nothing worked, as soon as i unchecked the solid square read only option and closed it , it came back like before. So I thought maybe windows 7 wont let me play the game, i bought windows 10 and installed it clean and removed windows 7 completely.

Then I read about NTFS being the problem, i have 2 sata harddisks and i formatted one and converted it to FAT system and copied wow folder to that drive. When right clicking on taskbar to open properties window it does not show start button tab in Win 10? I'd like to redirect the Downloads folder to a different disk D drive. What's the best method? I have my preferences to "Open each folder in the same window".

For most folders, this works exactly as it should. However, whenever I open a sub folder in the Downloads folder, it opens up in a new window. I have my downloads folder sorted by "Date Added" newest at the top and whenever I download a new file, the file will always goes to the bottom when I have the Downloads folder open as I click download. I then refresh the page and it goes to the top of the list, where it's supposed to be.

Is there a way to make the newly downloaded files go straight to the top of the list without having to refresh the downloads folder? Is there a wizard around that can give me a. I then changed my mind and wanted to keep the Downloads folder on the SSD drive, so I went to change it back by going into the "Location" tab under Properties and moving it back to the SSD drive.

Bad idea, because now my Users folder has been renamed Downloads and I can't change the name of the folder anymore. I've tried solution from the sevenforums.

It's weird because when I look at the folder with a different User account logged in, it shows up like it should with my original user name. So it's only different when I'm logged in as the original user looking at the folder, because I see it as Downloads.

Now if I right-click and select properties, under the "Sharing" tab, it shows that it's perfectly fine and not named Downloads.

Also under the "Security" tab, the Object name shows up perfectly fine as well and is not named Downloads. So this morning, I turned on my PC to discover that my downloads folder is now completely empty I had put a few folders and files in there and downloaded some programs, all gone now.

Even shortcuts that I placed on the desktop have disappeared, and I had to re-sign in to Chrome and import all of my bookmarks again.

Last night I had accidentally clicked on restart instead of shut down, as they are so close together. I don't know if this could have contributed to the issue. After waiting for it to come back on I shut it down. I'm just wanting to know what could have caused this, and how to fix it if possible. Definitely don't want it to happen again, and not sure if it's a Windows 10 issue or a fault with my PC.

Should mention that I only recently bought this computer and it came pre-installed with Windows Solved by restarting again Each desktop can't have it's own background. So, my question is this If I can't customize each desktop so it looks independent from the others, then what is the actual point in having multiple desktops?

I have a large number of research articles on my laptop via dropbox. One thing I loved about Windows 7 was that I could just hit the Start button, type a keyword into the search box and a results window would pop up that listed every matching document on my computer. I was also able to customize this so that it always came up in "Details" view. I can't seem to get that same thing with Windows
